We are proud to share that 12 of our students represented our kura at the King Country Athletics event. All students demonstrated outstanding effort, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Our athletes achieved some excellent results at King Country, with several placing in their events:
1st Place (Qualified for Waikato/Bay of Plenty Athletics):
● Te Tai Savage – Intermediate Boys High Jump
● Stevie-Lea Peri – Intermediate Girls 100m Sprints
● Jezadeen Letoga – Intermediate Girls Javelin
● Senior Girls Relay Team
(Waihuia McCauley-Karauna, Ahnakah Wallis, Stevie-Lea Peri, Oraleigh Te Wake)
2nd Place:
● Oraleigh Te Wake – Intermediate Girls 400m
● Jezadeen Letoga – Intermediate Girls Shot Put
● Stevie-Lea Peri – Intermediate Girls Long Jump
● Waihuia McCauley-Karauna – Senior Girls 100m
● Ahnakah Wallis – Intermediate Girls High Jump
● Tamati Pou-Poasa – Senior Boys Shot Put
3rd Place:
● Ania Hemmes – Senior Girls Long Jump
From these outstanding performances, several students participated in the Waikato/
Bay of Plenty Athletics Championships, including Te Tai Savage, Tamati Pou-Poasa, and Jezadeen Letoga.
A special congratulations goes to Te Tai Savage, who has now qualified for the North Island Secondary Schools Athletics Championships — an exceptional achievement.
We are incredibly proud of all our athletes who represented our kura with pride and excellence.
